The Consumer and Family Advisory Committee (CFAC) is the consumers’ voice at Crossroads. A sub-committee of the Board, CFAC provides consumer perspective and guidance. They serve as the community link to Crossroads and as a vehicle for consumers who want to have an active voice in the service delivery system.

CFAC was designed to provide consumer feedback and interaction with the Crossroads Behavioral Healthcare on local management entity policy development, consumer needs and increase participation of consumers and their families.

CFAC is composed of consumers and family members representing Iredell, Surry and Yadkin counties. Participation of consumers and their families is important in developing and promoting mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services. CFAC members are committed to learning community needs, studying best practice responses and work to advocate and engage community leaders and citizens in addressing service gaps. Members make every effort to oversee processes and ensure quality services are provided to consumers and their family members.

Meetings:
CFAC typically meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Crossroads office in Elkin at 200 Elkin Business Park Drive. The meetings are open to interested consumers and family as well as community members. If you are interested in serving on this committee or would like more information contact David Crosby, at 336-835-1001, extension 1801.
